ANNE LEDYARD

Anne has always had a love for movement and sport performance training which culminated in a B.S. in Exercise Science and All-America Honors as a two sport collegiate athlete.  After college, she devoted her time and training to triathlons and running and she often found herself training for competitions instead of building a life she imagined after sport. During this time, her mother suffered from end stage renal failure and as she watched her mother struggle to accept the circumstances of her illness, these moments deeply impacted Anne’s perception of health and wellness on a fundamental level.

Originally, she found yoga in 2012 as a deconditioning tool from training, but soon found that yoga produced more than positive physical changes. Over the years, her training transitioned from performance enhancement to a daily practice in health and well-being. She believes that yoga is an effective tool in the search for and obtaining the quality of life her mother struggled to find and to which she aspired.

Anne completed her 200 Hour Power Yoga Training from Core Power Yoga in 2017 and is a registered Yoga Alliance E-RYT instructor. Anne is passionate about empowering others to live on their own terms and is a living advocate for the tremendous power of yoga and its life changing effects.

Her classes are rooted in accepting where you are without judgment and building a strong physical foundation from which to grow. Yoga helped her cultivate an inner attitude of strength and openness to meet life as it is, firmly rooted in her physical presence and it is why she is so passionate about teaching others the possibilities of yoga and its life changing results.
