Sharon has been practicing Yoga for over 10 years initially practicing power yoga. An injury to her lower back slowed her physical practice and eventually led to surgery. After injuring her back, she had a new appreciation for the spiritual and physical benefits of Yoga. To deepen her study of Yoga, Sharon traveled to India and earned her 200-hour teacher certification and returned to India a year later for her 300-hour teacher certification.
A RYT 500, Sharon currently teach various styles of Yoga including Vinyasa and Yin. She is also a Pilates Mat and Reformer teacher. Always a student, she enjoys continuing her education and deepening her study of Yoga by attending classes, trainings and workshops.
As a yogini who practices with a back injury, Sharon knows the importance of honoring the body. Sharon enjoys seeing students experience the non-physical benefits of Yoga; however, she also enjoys seeing students practice asanas they thought were unattainable by assisting them in mindful modifications.
